THE FORGOTTEN SONGS TOUR

When the Music Stopped,
The Journey Began

In loving memory of Joan Marie Mifsud

For eight years, I watched my mother disappear into Alzheimer's disease. Words failed her. Memory abandoned her. Recognition faded. But music? Music stayed until the very end. When she died, I made a promise: her story would not be forgotten. The millions of caregivers carrying this weight in silence would be seen, heard, and honoured. The Forgotten Songs Tour is that promise, made real.

WHERE IT BEGAN

In February 2026, I performed back-to-back shows at Osoyoos Royal Canadian Legion Branch 122. What happened there changed everything. Legion members—veterans, caregivers, families touched by Alzheimer's—didn't just listen. They participated. They shared. They wept. They witnessed each other's stories for the first time. The response was so powerful that on May 30th, 2026, Osoyoos Legion is hosting the official tour kickoff: a special multi-artist fundraiser with me as headliner, launching this cross-Canada documentary journey. They understood what this tour really is: not a concert series, but a mission. Not entertainment, but healing.

THE JOURNEY AHEAD

From May through September 2026, The Forgotten Songs Tour travels through 70+ Royal Canadian Legion halls across Canada, beginning in British Columbia and moving east. Each stop is identical: 90 minutes combining live music performance, personal caregiving testimony, and community story circles. No polished production. No theatrics. Just truth, music, and space for people to finally say out loud what they've carried alone. Professional documentary filming captures the entire journey for festival circuit and streaming distribution—proving that reclaiming buried purpose is possible at any age, and that small communities carry the biggest stories.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT A SHOW

90-MINUTE EXPERIENCE:

- 60 minutes: Live original music about memory, family, caregiving, and purpose

- 20-30 minutes: Personal testimony and community story circle

- 10 minutes: Alzheimer's awareness resources and caregiver support materials

This isn't a concert. It's a gathering. A safe space for caregivers, veterans, families touched by Alzheimer's, and anyone who believes stories matter and music heals. You don't have to be a caregiver to attend.

You don't have to have lost someone to Alzheimer's. You just have to believe that none of us should carry this alone. Admission: Suggested $10-20 donation per person (all proceeds support tour mission and Alzheimer's awareness)

THE PARTNERSHIP

In partnership with the Alzheimer's Society of Canada (currently in discussion), every tour stop distributes educational materials, First Link® caregiver resources, and community support information. Proceeds support the tour's mission and Alzheimer's awareness across the country. This isn't fundraising—it's solidarity with the 600,000+ Canadians living with dementia and the millions more who care for them.

WHY LEGIONS

Royal Canadian Legions are more than meeting halls. They're communities built on service, sacrifice, and remembering those who can no longer speak for themselves. Veterans understand what it means to witness trauma and carry it silently. Caregivers know that same weight. The Legions are the perfect home for this work.

THE INVITATION

You don't have to be a caregiver to come. You don't have to have lost someone to Alzheimer's. You just have to believe that stories matter, that music heals, and that none of us should carry this alone. The Forgotten Songs Tour is proof that it's never too late to return to purpose. That buried dreams can become powerful missions. That the songs we sang, the love we gave, never truly disappear. Music remembers. And so do we.
